Allen Jabour with his flock (Ed Green, Nathan Green)
After killing of the infected townsfolk at the church, the group decided to head north and find a safe place to camp for the night. The next morning they travelled back to New Jerusalem to check the condition of the remaining inhabitants. The people in town seemed as stupefied as they had been previously.
The posse went with Oliver to visit his barber shop and allow him to gather some of his belongings. While there, one of the townspeople (whom Oliver identified as William Taylor) arrived for a shave. The group decided to abduct William and quickly over-powered him. They tied him up and hid him in a rolled up carpet which they retrieved from the hotel. (Unfortunately, Clyde Bolling, the man who ran the hotel, had been killed by the posse at the church. They knew no one would be there to stop them.) They then returned to their campsite from the night before, where they stayed for the rest of the day. The posse was lucky enough to find Sterling’s horse not too far from the campsite. (It had bolted on Sterling during an attack the previous night.) As the day wore on, the posse members who had experienced a fogginess to their thinking began to feel more and more like themselves. By the end of the day, their thoughts came as quickly as they had before the group ever encountered New Jerusalem (which for some wasn’t a huge improvement, but still… – Ed.).
