Sterling Simms (a.k.a. David Davidson)
First thing Monday morning, the posse headed over to the Smith & Robards shipping office. Once there, Brother Allen purchased a Gatling pistol that a customer had ordered but never claimed. With order fulfillment times of up to two weeks, he was very lucky to find the pistol in stock!
The group’s shopping excursion continued with Sterling and Tobias perusing the selection of walking canes at a local gentleman’s store. They eventually settled on a set of sword canes. Tobias purchased a brass-topped cane while Sterling could only be satisfied with a polished silver top. Unfortunately, Sterling’s preferred cane top, a lightning bolt made of silver, would have to be commissioned and he did not feel he had the time.
Instead of exploring the world of gentleman accessories, Yang Li visited a nearby book store. While wandering the shelves, he stumbled upon The Art of Funny by I.P. Freely, a book of jokes, good-natured insults, and pranks. He found the book so amusing that he immediately purchased it.
The rest of the day was spent purchasing supplies for the planned trip to Coffin Rock. A Conestoga wagon and tackle was bought along with trail rations, grain, and other travel necessities.
